MESSRS TINDLE AND COS REPORT.

Wo held our opening sale for 1902 at the Opuoake yards, on Monday, January 13th. The muster of stock, attendance, and prices were beyond our expectations, prices showing an improvement from the closing sales of last year. Prices were as follows: Fat cows, L 4 5s to L 4 15s ; fresh condition cows, L 3 10s to L 3 17s 6d ; 12 to 18 months Bteers, L 2 13s ; weaners, LI to LI 8s ; springing heifers, L 4 17s 6d to L 5 Is ; dairy cows, L 5; 18 months heifers, L 2 15s to L 3 5s 6d.

Pigs : Weaners, 9s Gd to 20s 6d ; stores, 21s to 27s 6d.

At Awatuna, on the 20th instant, we had a very large yarding, outside paddoqks having to be used. Tho attendance was good, and most lines were quitted at the hammer. Weaners made from 20a to 275 ; fat heifers, L 4 11s (id; fat cows, L 4 5s to Li 10s ; fresh conditioned cows, L 3 15s to L 4; cows and calves, L 4 to L 4 8s 6d; 12 to 15 months heifers, L 2 6s to L 2 8s 6d ; store pigs, 21s 6d. We held our monthly horse fair on Saturday last, and although the number of horses was not large, the quality was good. Draught mares, L 34 to L 45;4 5; draught geldings, L 33 to L 35; 2-year unbroken colts, L 8 to L 10;1 0; hacks, Lsto L 10;1 0; trap horses, LlO to LlB.

We held a clearing sale on the 16th for Mr E. Williams Pihama, at which we disposed of a line of yearlings, by Inaha, at L 8; mares and foals, hi 7s 6d to L 6; 18 months heifers, L2 lss. Furniture and sundries sold well.
