EGMONT GUN CLUB.

A mooting of the Egrnont County and Hawera Gun Clubs was held on Saturday night, the business being to consider the advisability of the two clubs amalgamating. After some discussion, Mr R Douglas moved, and Mr W. R. Twigg seconded, That the two clubs amalgamate, the motion being carried. It was thought that between the two a strong club would be formed, and having both live and inanimate pigeon matches would result in successful meetings. It was decided to hold a match on Tuesday, February 18th, particulars of which will appear later. The following officers were elected: — President, Mr F. S. Cooper; Vicepresident, Mr J. Goodwin ; Captain, Mr W. R. Twigg; Secretary, Mr G. De Clifton ; Treasurer, Mr J. S. Mcßobbie ; General Committee, Messrs H. Fryer, J. W. Beacby, F. Whiting, W. H. Hawkins, A. G. Ogden ; Handicapper, Mr C. R, Bayley; Referee, Mr C. A. Budge.
