Two motor oars have been imported for the carriage of mails and passengers between Lismora and Tenterfield, New South Wales. The contractor for the conveyance of the mails is the importer. Mr Henry Gray's firm at Manchester (says the Taranaki Herald) have advised him by cablegram this week of the departure for .New Zealand "VM-^kiMtr^MK-of Mr James F. Pearson, Managing Director of the well-known firm, Messrs Pearson and Butter, Limited. Besides being the head of his firm, Mr Peat son has acted for some time as Chairman of the Provision Trade Committee of Mauohester, which deals with matters affecting the trade regulated from that centre, representing an annual turnover of ten million pounds sterling worth of batter alone.
