The Primitive Methodist Conference will close this evening. A motion was adopted strongly protesting against any attempt to alter the coronation oath in such a way as to weaken the cause of Protestantism and an Imperial Protestant succession. Statistics of the Primitive Methodist Church show there are 29 ministers, one circuit missionary, two home missionaries, 139 local preachers, 2144 scholars, 8380 hearers. Church property is valued at £42,535.
