Woodvillb, January 17. Three boys, named Gibbons, whose ages are 12, 9, and 7 years, sons of an old settler here, have been arrested on a charge of attempting to poison their father. Gibbons made tea for himself on Wednesday morning. Although be noticed a peculiar taste and smell with it, he continued drinking. Shortly afterwards he suffered internal pains, and, luckily, was very sick. On investigation, he found a quantity of aconite amongst the dry tea. The aconite was kept in the house, anil used in the treatment of- oows. « The boys were not at home on search being made, but were found camped on the Hon. J. D. Ormand's property, two miles from Woodville. Besides other provisions, they had eight geese in their possession. The boys admitted putting the aconite in the tea.
