BOERS GETTING TIRED.

WARRANT FOR ARREST OF " COLONEL " LYNCH.

London, January 16. Kruger's latest advices are to the effect that the Afrikander Bond recruits are rapidly dwindling.

Other advices state Generals Kemp's and De la Rey's men are clamoring to surrender.

General Smuts recently seized papers which show that the Swazis supplied the Boers with information, provisions, and munitions.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Arthur Lynch, the recentlyelected member for Galway, and who was a colonel in the Boer army, on a charge of treason.

A Colonial Office Blue Book contains an intercepted letter from General Schalk-Burgher to ex-President Steyn stating : "The condition is daily growing more serious. The Boers lately suffered and lost much. If we are convinced our resources are exhausted and our last strength broken, we must bow down and surrender, no matter how bitter it may be." Schalk-Bur-gher's letter was dated March 21st last.

Slooten, late a predikant of the Transvaal, created a" sensation in America. He asserted that the Boers aimed at the expulsion of the British from South Africa, and that Kruger had been divinely commanded to declare war.

Wellington, January 17. The Trades and Labor Council had another stormy and lengthy meeting last night, when a motion to rescind the previous anti-war resolution came up for discussion. At times the debate waxed warm, and one delegate was excluded from the meeting. Ultimately a motion to rescind was carried bj' nineteen to three ; also that the motion be expunged from the records of tho Council.
