Holiday excnsion tiokotß will be issued by the Railway Department on January 21st and 22nd to Wellington, available for return till 19th Febuary, in odrer to allow the public to witness the departure of the Eighth Contingent. On the 23rd (date of Wanganui • Sports) the 4 p.m. train from Wanganui will run two hours later than usual to Hawera.

Mr N. Eing's next cattle gale at Whangamomona will be held on 23rd. Mrs Honeyfield, breakwater, New Plymouth is prepared to receive visitors.
