At the half-yearly meeting of the Broken Hill Proprietary, a dividend of eighteenpence per share was declared. Dr. Cooper, Coadjutor Bishop of Ballarat, has accepted the See of Grafton and Armidale. The Mines report shows the output of coal for the year was five and a half million tons, exceeding previous years by 910,000 tons. The value at the pit mouth was £1,668,000, against £1,325,000 for the previous year.
