Lamb : Prime Canterbury, 4jjd ; fair average (including Dunedin, Southland, Wellington, and secondary Canterbury), 4|d. New Zealand beef, 180 to 220 lbs, fair average quality : Ox fores, 3£d ; ox hinds, 4gd. Butter is firmer. Danish, 112s. At the kauri auction 3983 cases were offered and 1000 sold.

Tho Agent-General cables to the Department of Agriculture : — Butter, 105s; market rising. Cheese, 545; market firm. Hemp firmer. Good fair Wellington, £18 ; Manila, unchanged.
