NORTH ISLAND RAILWAYS.
(PER PBBSS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, October 4. Ihe Council of the Chamber of Commerce met to-day in conference wiih % F eDreßentativea of the Main Trunk and North Auckland Railway Leagueß to consider the votes for the northern railways. The votes were regarded as altogether inadequate, but in view of the fact that a joint conference of the Railway Leagues had been convened for to-uight no action was taken.
