MR DICK'S LECTURE.
Many farmers will remember with pleasure the exceedingly instructive address to graziers and agriculturists delivered last year, under the auspices of the Egmont A. and P. Association, by Mr Dick, of the Westfield Chemical Works staff. The lecture took the form of remarks on the chemistry of the soil — a subject of vast importance to this district. Those interested in the subject (and who are not?) will be pleased to hear that Mr Dick will be in Hawera on Saturday, and will deliver one of his popular lectures in the Borough Chambers at 2 p.m., so that visitors from up the line will have plenty of time to catch their train. A good attendance may be looked for, and it is not anticipating too much to say that those attending will profit from the remarks of a gentleman who has made the chemistry of the soil a special study. •
