Hawera School Entertainment.
Tbe annual sohool entertainment this jear promises to rival any of its predecessors. The boys and girls taking part are most enthusiastic as was evinced by a most successful rehearsal on Saturday afternoon.' The programme this time is' to take the form of a Kinderspiel entitled 11 Punch's Party," in whioh about 100 take part in character. No pains have been spared on the part of everyone connected, whether pupil, parent, or teacher to make the affair a big success, which no doubt it will be. The object is good, namely to provide fu_c_ for purchase of prizes and other incidental expenses. The Opera House should be well filled at 7.80 on Thursday evening to greet the young performers.
Perfection is continually sought after and seldom obtained. The Empire Go., how•ter, olftim that their Dragon Coffee is about as near perfection as anything mundane can be.
