The French Navy.
INDICATIONS OF ACTIVITY. (per press association.) PARIS, December 14. In the Chamber of Deputies M. Declasse, formerly Minister for the Colonies, condemned the naval estimates, declaring that it was impossible to rival Great Britain, and they were unable to keep equipping new vessels so long. They must get at vulnerable points, and if necessary build 20 long range vessels of great j speed, four ironclads of 25 knots, two of 27 knots, and a number of torpedo catchers immediately. LONDON, December 14. M. Blowitz, the Times' Paris correspondent telegraphs that the speech caused a serious impression, and that it is evident Great Britain is regarded as a probable antagonist.
