Marvellous Escape.
(per press association.) SYDNEY, Deoember 11. While the express train to Melbourne was travelling nearly fifty miles an hour, an invalid lady suffered mentally through illness, and jumped from the train near Culcain. The train was stopped and returned to the spot, when it was found that the lady had miraou* lously escaped.
Masonic Emergency Meeting to* morrow (Tuesday) evening. After the meeting a banquet will be held at the Foresters' Hall.
