'- (PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.) JN VEROARGILL, June 4. At tbe inquest on tbe mlant Eva Hornsby the medioal evidence was to the effect tbat death wbb caused by asphyxiation by mechanioal means, there beiDg nothing in the state of the organs to indicate death from natural causes.
The inquest en the Christohuieh ohi'd Dorothy Carter, was also completed, tbe jury returning a verdict of wilful murder against Minnie Dean. Professor Black deposed tbat a quantity of opium bad been recovered from the internal organs, sufficient to cause death, and the medical evidenoe was to the effect that tbe post mortem conditions were consistent with death from opium poisoning.
