(PEE PBESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Jane 28. Two alleged unemployed — J. Howard aad R. MoKellop — were sentenced to a month eaoh for imposing 'on the Benevolent Society. The former also got a month for ■ swearing at the relieving officer. WELLINGTON, Jane 25. Mr W. W. Carlile, of Woodville, who contested tbe Waipawa seat as an Independent candidate, has been appointed editor of tbe Evening PreßS.
