The return of Mr and Mrs.Bobin from their honeymoon tpur was made the occasion of a very pleasant. evening on Friday last. The excellence and tasteful arrangement of the tapper' table was much admired. Morrison acting as M.O. in his usual well-known manner. { - The i ordinary monthly > meeting o! directors o£ Dairy Company took place, on Monday, when the returns of the first shipment of cheese sent Horne 1 in the Rnahine-were placed, before them. The shipment realised top price, namely, 54s per cwt, or a total ot £4:51 14s 5d for the 140' cases, which Was considered' most satisfactory, Messrs" Lbvell and. Christmas, of London, to whom the produce was consigned, 'being*- well satisfied with tbe quality. Since the factory has been closed down improve* ments have been going on to cope^ith next season's supply, which is reckoned to be double last season's. Mr Hancock, the well-known Stratford well-sinker, has been down and been very BticWssfnl. The well is sow capable of supplying 4000 gallons per day. This expense was compulsory owing to the rams giving ont at the end of the season. A very neat shelter shed has .just been erected on tbe school ground for the children. Despite the bad weather the attendance is very good, and' the roll number steadily increasing, which is now up to thirty-six. I understand the school commissioners intend applying for an extra pupil teacher.
