"' After the match an exoellent dinner, .' provided ( by' Mr Johnson of the Toko . . Hotel, enlivened the spirits of the players, and especially those of tbe defeated team, , - • i?hp had the satisfaction of knowing they I 'were heaping coals of fire on tbe visitors' ' Jiwdn by paying for the dinner. Paring the evening toasts were drnnk to tbe captains ol the teams and the party broke f up in exoellent spirits. There is some 1 ' Ulk of a return match. Tbe glorious weather of the past ten days has made a wonderful difference to the roads and settlers can get about with much less difficulty.
