The French demand Irom Siam, exclusive of tbe concessions with respeot to the right to construct public works, tbe provinces of Battambong, Angkor, and the right bank of the Me Eong.
The French Government has seized King Campodea's son, Dnong Chaor, in Pans, aad deported him to Algeria, where he will be allowed a pension.
CALCUTTA, August 27.
Negotiations towards a settlement of tbe Siamese difficulty are for the present at a standstill. It is considered that France ia aiming at establishing a samiproteotorato over the country.
Tbe Chief Commissioners of Burmab advise tbe annexation of the Chin Hills.
