«. (PER PBESS ASSOCIATION.) | LONDON, Angnßt 6. j The Conservatives will propose 4A new , clauses when tbe Home Rule Bill is reported from the committee. Twenty thousand people attended a meeting at Liverpool, and passed resolutions protesting against the Government permitting the Irish members to dominate the Houae of Commona and stifle tbe debate on the Home Rule Bill. LONDON, August 7. Three new clauses were rejected in one division, Messrs Bathbone and Mclones voted against the Government. There waß much excitement when the Speaker refused to allow clauses to be moved in the absence of the members who h&d given notice. Mr Balfour did not move his amendment, bavins arranged to discuss it upon a similar motion by Mr Macartney. The Ulster detence fund has reached a quarter of a million.
