THE NEW ZEALAND TEAM.
WELLINGTON, June 22. The N.Z. team beat the Wellington team by 7 to 4.
At a meeting of the New Zealand Rugby team last night, it was announced that Ellison, of Wellington, had been elected captain. All the team, with tbe exception of Stuart (formerly of the English team), are colonial-born. A letter was read from the Governor, wishing tho team success. The members were addressed by Messrs T. Thompson and Lawry, M.H.R.h, and the Hon. W. McCullough, who reiterated the wishes of the Governor.
