THE EXHIBITION.

«. Tbe attendanoeat the Exhibition during yeiterday afternoon was fair. In i the •▼ening, despite the wretched weathet, there was a large number present* and the business done was very satisfactory. VM« Jarley'a Waxwo|ks" attracted a large number, being run as a eide-show. iThe scenes h»d to be repeated three timeß, tqd were on eaoh oooaßioa well patronised. The waxworks were most effeofive, and ■bowed- that much trouble, badobeen gone to by tbe promoters, Mrfr'7. Scott and Mrs MaoFarlftncl, aseuted by Mr tfunmo Soott. The other shows did well. The gipßy encampment was m eliargt of Mrs Nolan, who told tbe jortuoes of a large number, some of tbe j ptj^ictionß being calculated to terrify the jpott ttouthcßrted. The other gipsies |o tbe oamp were Missear Tait and j BaWer^y, who were also well-versed in j the fortupe-telling art. The orooodile and other curiosities lent by Mx Stevenion, of < n Manaia, attracted much attention, and a shooting-gallery, in iharge of M*, Fraser, wae kept going. , The refreshment room did a fairly good tirade, and tbe ladies in charge were kept puiy.
