Tbe Land Board met on MondayPresent — The Commissioner of Crown Lands (chairman), Colonel Trimble, Hon Mr Kelly, M.L.0., and Messrs Livingston and C. E. Stock. LEASE IN PERPETUITY. The following applications for land under lease in perpetuity were read; — J. R. Harvey, seotion 14, block 1, Ngati* mam (540 acres) ; W. Graham, se ction SO, block 2, Ngatimaru (188 acres) ; J. Crowe, section 18, block 5 Ngatimaru (440 acres); F. Mundell, seotion 19, block 5, Ngatimaru (840 acres) ; T. Meredith, seotion 24, blook 5, Ngatimaru (445 acres). TRANSFERS. The board sanctioned tbe following d.p. transfers: — R. and. W. Watson, section 58, block 11, Opunake, to R. Watson ; A. E. Perrott, section 78, block 10, Eaupokonui, to A. H. Perrott; G. Dive, seotion 8, blook 15, Ngaire. ACQUIRING; FREEHOLD. Permission to acquire the freehold of tbe following perpetual lease lands was granted:— O. P. Johnston, Beotion 17, block 16, Hniroa; B. Dive, section 6, block 15, Ngaire ; R. O'Donovan, section 9, blook 1, Ngatimaru. In Mr O'Donovan's case, it was deoided, on Mr Livingston's motion, that the commissioner's action in completing purchase of tbe land be ratified. P.L. TRANSFERS. Webb applied to convert hta d.p. seotion— sec 6, block 1, Ngatimaru— to a lease in perpetuity, Approved. G. W. Gane made a similar application in respect of section 10. block 2, Opunake. It was decided to consider the application when the ranger reports on tbe improvements. SURRENDER. G. T. Tyler surrendered his lease of seotion 15, block 10, Ngatimarn. Accepted. SUB LEASING. J. Harre applied for permission to sub* let section 14, block 15, Ngaire, to A. W. P. Hewitt, for a term of seven yaare. Granted. STRATFORD. Tbe Surveyor General wrote, intimating that it was desirable to hold another sale of Stratford town lands. It was decided to allow the matter to stand over for tbe present. HAWERA. With regard to tbe disposal of sec 146, block 5, Hawera, approved of at tbe last meeting, it was deoided to offer it at the same time and place as tbe Stratford town lands. NGAIRE. Tbe Surveyor General referred a letter trom Mr S. J. Binning, with reference to tbe termß ot tbe lease of the Ngaire blook. It was deoided that tbe scheme of settlement referred to in the communication be submitted for the perusal of the board. OPAEU. Mr. Blake attended tbe board with reference to obtaining a revaluation of run No. 7, Opaku. He was informed that he should apply under the Selectors' Land Revaluation Act, 1892. j ARREARS.
