LONDON, May 21. The second innings of tbe Australians in the match against tbe M.G.G. closed for 347. Baonerman contributed 75 and Gregory 31. (Lyons' score has been omitted.) The M.0.G., requiring 167 runs to win, started their second innings, and bad lost eight wickets for 153 wben rain interrupted the game, and the match was drawn — • ' Grace ... J. 83 Stoddart 45 McLeod took 5 wickets for 29, and Giffen 3 for 72. Towards the end of the game there was great excitement as to whether tbe Englishmen would knock up the required runs, especially as the wicket wa3 muoh out np. Lyons' score included twenty-two fours,
three threeß, and twenty twoß. He wae at tbe wickets for ninety-five minutei, and his tremendous hitting I powers roused great enthusiasm. Bannerman batted for four hoars, and his defence was almost perfect! £
