Bray, Agent-General for South Australia, upon seeing tbe failure of the National Bank nnnonnced in Mouday'B paperß, rushed off to tbe bank and demanded the surrender of bills (or £12,500 each, which had been entrusted to it for collection. The officials demurred, but Bray insisted on his eLriot legal rights, and eventually obtained tho bills, The whole amount thus oaved was lodged in the Bank of Adelaide.
