The Eltham cheese factory is very 1 busy just now. The floods having carried away Chew Cbbng's dam, his milk sup* pliers are bringing their milk 'to the obeese factory in tbe meantime*! as are also Messrs. Bobbins and Pierard's on tbe Eltbam road. The vats at the cheese factory can scarcely hold all tbemilk, and nearly four tons of obeese per week are being tamed out. The directors, ot the factory are complaining very muah; of the difficulty of Rotting space in tbejieiuners for the cheese. They have been iqfcnrmed by their agent in Wellington that though he has a written agreement for 40 tons ot spaoe in tbe next two steamers, yet it will not suffioe for all the shipments that are coming forward.
