TOWN BOABD. (FROM OUR OWN COEEESPONDENT.) The regular monthly meeting of the Town Board was beld on the evening of the 20th. Present— The whole of tbe members. CORRESPONDENCE . From Publio Trußtee, re claim of Mr Lysaght for gravel, asking from which section gravel was taken. — The Clerk stated that be bad replied that giavel was taken from section 20, block 1, Hawera Survey District. From Police Office, New Plymouth, re resident constable for Normanby. From Hawera Borough Council, stating tbat an industrial exhibition in aid of hospital fund was to be beld at Hawera on 24th May, and asking tbe board to appoint a committee to consult with the central committee. — Proposed by Mr WilsoD, seconded by Mr Meredith, That tbe members of the Normanby Town Board be a committee, with power to add to tbeir number, to consult with the central committee; and that the clerk notify the central committee thai; the local committee would meet tbe central com* mi t tee at tbe Town Hall, Normanby, at 7.30 p.m., on Monday, tbe 27th instant. — Carried. TENDERS. Tenders for the side track, Mawhitiwhiti road, Hayward, 8s per chain; A. Anderson, 93 6d. Resolved, That Mr. Hayward's tender be accepted. ACCOUNTS. Epping, 9s; Sisley, ss; Tempero, £1 3a lid; Bates Bros., £1 10s 4d ; Dougherty, £5 123 6d ; Kilvington, 8s ; Gane, 4s 6d. Resolved, Tbat Mr. Gane's account be referred to the engineer for him to state if it was a fair and proper charge. Tbe other accounts were passed for payment. DOMAIN BOARD. Letter from Commissioner of Crown Lands, New Plymouth, asking for a tracing of tbe piece of land offered by Mr. Brett in exchange for Waibi Reserve.— Supplied. Resolved, Tbat Mr. Meredith's notice of motion be held over until tbe board see how application for exchange is dealt with. Mr. Siilay stated he would be quite willing to hold land after leaoe expired at present rental until matter of exebange was settled. Meeting adjourned.
