PAIHIATUA, February 10. Richard Spain, described as a model vilinge settler, baa been found lying in an unconscious condition, from an injury to hie spine, caused by the upsetting of a trap during a bolt.
WELLINGTON, February 9.
McKinnon's claim against tbe Racing Club for the value of tbe Telegraph Stakes, on tbe ground of Bebellion's entry being improperly admitted, was argued before Mr. Justice Eicbmond. Judgment was reserved.
