The committee reserves to itself the right of making any alterations in the programme they may think necessary. 3. Nominations for all handicap events —Nos. 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 12, 13. 15, 16, ana 17 — to be in the hands of the secretary, Mr S. Jackson-Binning, Eltham, by 8 o'c. on the evening of Monday, 20th February, 1893, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, and an account of all performances for the previous two years. 4. Acceptances will close at. 10.30 o'c. on the morning of the sports. 5. Handicaps to be declared on Friday 24th Feb. 6. All events to be contested and decided under the rnles of the Hawera Caledonian Society. 7. No prize to be given for any event unless there are three competitors; no second prize unless theie are four competitors ; and no third prize unless there are six competitors. 8. All competitors to appear in proper racing costumo to the satisfaction of the judges. Refreshments on the ground. Band in attendance.
