. Thubsday, 12th Januaby. (Before R. H. Nolan, Esq., J.P.) . Police v. Manu.— Using abusive language at Manaia. Accused pleadedguilty and was committed for 24 honra imprisonment.
A large shipment of batter, 2,500 packages was to be made by the b;b. Mahinapua to-day, and will be transhipped into the diceot liner Tongariro at Wellington. The Harbor, Board on Wednesday decided that polling booths for the next election, whioh will be held on the second Monday in February, be ereoted a* the iollowing centres :— New Plymouth, ! Hna Village, Waitara, Urenui, Lepperton, Inglewooa, Stratford, Eltham, Omata, Oakura, Okato, Pungareha, Oaonni, Opunake, Manaia, Tarata, Kaponga, Cardiff, Tikorangi, Pihama, Otakebo, and Okaiawa. ______
