Hack is a horse that has never won an advertised race (Hack and' hunter Races excepted} and is not at the time of Btart, and has not been during the six calendar months previous to tho mho of start, nominated to any race iU«i.k and Hunter Races excepted. In all cases when penalties have to be carried for winning, it shall be the duty of tbe owiier, trainer or jockey, to notify, the same to tbe Secretary on the night, of Tuesday, the 17th January, before nine o'clock, at Wilson's Stratford Hotel. Nominations for Nob. 1, 3, and 5, (witL necessary amounts) to be in the handß of tbe Secretary by 10 p.m. on Thursday, the 15tn December at Wilson's Stratford Hotel. Handicaps will be declared &n tbe 3rd January. Acceptances and general entrances close at 9 o'clock on Tuesday night,- 10th January, 1893, at Wikon's Stratford' Hotel.
