WELLINGTON HOSPITAL.

(per press association.)

WELLINGTON, January 10. At a meeting of the Hospital Trustees, it was stated that owing to ov6r- crowding patientß have been refused admission. The Rev. Van Stavern said they had repeatedly applied to the Government to provide additional accommodation, but co far nothing had been done. The medical superintendent informed him that if the present condition is continued it would lead to a public scandal. Three female patients had already been refused admission, and unless extra accommodation waß provided he would prefer to be relieved of responsibility. Mr. Fraser, chairman, thought the beat course to adopt would bo for the trustees to resign and throw the responsibility on tbe Government. It was suggested that tbe Government might grant the use of the new police barraoke, in Tory-street, for additional wards until it was enlarged. Tbe Government will be again opproaohed on the matter.
