The Horticultural Society's Show

The weather is again unfortunate for the Society's Show. To some extent it was so last year ; but on this occasion the rain is heavy, and will do much to prevent attendance from outside. The Show, so far as we have yet eeßn it, is a distinct improvement on that of last year, some very beautiful flowers being shown. There was an interesting competition for the gardens prizes, and eventually tbe committee gave their judgment as follows: —Ist prise, £4 4s, Mr. H. Ward ; 2nd, £1 Is, Mr. Rolfe ; 3rd, 10s, Mr. Yeats ; Mr. D. Whiting and Mrs. Milne, h.o.
