MHO TRAVEL THIS SEASON, & THE Pubb Clydesdale Stallion PEINOE jflßßh VICTOR Pbince Victob, bred by James J Coombes, Esq., is a dark dappled bay, with black points, stands 16% hands high on very short legs, has immense bone of best quality, with abundance of hair, and is of a most docile temper. He was got by Coorabe's Young Scotchman (imp), out of Blossom by Nugget (imp). Blossom took First and Champion Prize at Wanganui, as a 3-year-old — the only time she was exhibted. Prince Victor took five First Prizes as a yearling and 2-year-old, and four First Prizes, in his class ; and tour Champion Prizes in 1886, 1887, 1890, and 1891 for the best horse on the ground, against all-comers, at the Palmerston Shows — including Director, Nugget 11. , King Henry, Knockdon, Pdde of Sandon, and others. Prince Victor's full-brother, Nugget, 11., took Champion Prize at Palmereton the year Prince Victor was in this district, Director being second. Prince Victor's stock have also been great prize takers. A 3-year-old filly got by him, bred by Messrs J. and C. Bull, took Champion Prize at Palmerston Sbow, 1891, against a large entry of exhibits, including two mares imported from Canterbury especially for the Show and afterwards taken back to Christchurch. Prince Victor has always proved himself a sure foal-getter, and his stock in this district, now yearlings, speak for themselves.
