We have received a series of six new cards for tho coming season from Mr. A. D. Willie, of Wanganui, who iB a colonial producer of colonial art work, which ha 3 very much astonished big city manufact. urers, and which has secured him trade aod fame jn his especial l;nes throughout the Australian colonies. Mr. Willis js a whole-hearted believer in colonial industry, bat he does not believe ia all industrial enterprise being centred in the big citieß, Wanganni is not a big place. A look over his now extensive manufactory — lithography, printing stationery — is a convmcer on that point. The cards, anew series, referred to above, are printed ohromo fasbipn in black on creamy ground, and form most natural and effective pictures of various phases of Maori life and native scenery. They are aB near perfection as anyone can desire. In each case printed qd the back of the card is a full letterpress description pf the subject. The subjects are Maori Hospitality, Ngawhaß, A Maori Challenge, A ijative Pet, A Maori Pa, and Preparing Dinner. These cards may be obtained from local retailers.
