Nbw.Pltmouth, March 25. Cattle.— The stock market this week has been very lively. I have had three of the 'most successful sales held for some time. At Stratford, on Tuesday, the yards were packed, over 11C0 head were sold at slightly better than last prices. The Waiwakaiho sale on Thursday was well patronised by sellers and buyers, nearly every pen being filled, an&only two araall pens of young cattle were sent home. The prices, all around with exception of poor calves showed a big advance, even on Stratford prices, cows and steers were in great demand. The clearing sale on account of Mr. J. Y. Dingle was a real clinker, by far the best sale I have ever held, all classes of stock, live and dead, being eagerly competed for at very advanced prices. At Stratford on Tuesday : small calves, 16s to 20s ; good, 28s to 365 ; yearlings, 31s to 435 ; 18-months steers, 60s to 575 ; 2-year steers, JB3 2s 6d to JB3 10s ; 2to 2i JB3 19s 6d; 3-yeors, £4, 10a; cowr and calves, M 9s ; 18-months heifers, 54s 6d to 50s ; springing cows, £5. At Mr. Dingle's : fat bullocks, JE6 8s to £6 10s ; forward steers, £5 2s ; fat cows, SA 11s ; yearlings, 41s ; heifers in calf, JB3 16s ; Hereford bulls, £8 to JBIO 10s ; cows in calf, £3 7s ; 2-year steers, JB3 10s ; calves, 345 ; dairy cows, to £6 155 ; draught horses, £19 to £25; brood mares, £4> to £10 ss ; blood yearlings, £5 to £10 10s ; trap horses, £13 to £14 15s ; 2-year colt, £19 10s 5 disc harrows, £12; roller, £9 10s ; buggy, £18 103, and other things at equally good prices. At Waiwakaiho calves made 23s to 355 ; yearlings 475 ; 18-months steers, 48s to 67s 6d; 2-year steers, £3 5s to £3 14s; mixed yearlins, 475 ; heifers, empty. £3 7s ; 2to 2^-year steers, £3 14s to £4 ; cows and calves, £4> 4s ; cows, stores, £3 7s ; springing heifers, £4 17s 6d; cows, £5; cull lambs, 3s 9d ; fat cows, light, £3 17s 6d.
