WELLINGTON, Jane 18.
John Clark, a carpenter, residing in Brook- street, committed suicide this morning by hanging himself on his back lence. Clark has been separated from his wife for some time, and was summoned to appear at the court this morning for disobeying an order of the court for maintenance. Deceased was 50 years of age, and an old resident.
DUNEDIN, June 18.
A fonr-roomed house, owned and occn&'ed by J. Jennings, contractor, at South auedin, was burned down yeßtetday. Insurance — £220 in the Standard office.
