ENGLISH FOOTBALLERS IN NEW ZEALAND.

CANTERBURY RETURN MATCH.

(per press association.)

CHBISTCHURCH, May 10.

The return match between Canterbury and the English footballers resulted in another win for the latter. The weather was cold aud miserable ; the attendance, 3000. The first spell was pretty even. Just at tho end, Penketh got a try, but no goal. In the second spell Nolan obtained three tries, none of which were converted into goals. Several good rushes were made by Canterbury, but they were never allowed to get through, though they very nearly did four or five times. The play on both sides was fast, and well worth witnessing.
