MESSRS. HUNTER AND NOLAN'S REPORT.

Auckland, April 27.

Horses — There has not been a great deal doing. Bidding was slow and sales hard to effect at the prices that vendors would submit to.

Wool, Hides and Skins — Rather a limited supply was pitched at the Durham yards on Tuesday. Competition was brisk, and a much larger number of heavy ox hides would have found purchasers at 4Jd per lb ; cow, 3d to 3 Jd ; calf skins, from 4Jd to 5d per lb ; sheep skins, from 2s 3d to 2s 9d. Cattle — Therehas been increased activity in the market. Prune fat bullocks advanced in price fully 10s per head, but green steers and cows sold relatively lower. Sheep — There was a fairly good supply on Tuesday at Newmnrket. Fat ewes sold at a shade higher values than on the previous week, but there was no alteration in wethers. Very few Limbs offered, and there remained an unsatisfied demand.

Pigs were in moderate numbers, and ranged from l^d to 3sd per lb live weight.
