At the Haymarket on Saturday, pigs were in full supply, and prices were lower than for some time past. Rough pigs made from 28 6d to 3s; good do, 3s 6d to 8s; porkers, 11s 6d to 20s. Horses were dull of sale ; inferior hacks made from 25s to 30s.

At the Mart, fowls made 9d to Is ; ducks, Is 4d ; geese, Is 9d ; turkeys, Is lid to 2s 3d; potatoes, 2s to 3s ; onions, $d to Id. Cattle. — At Stratford on Tuesday there was only a small muster of stock, but bidding was brisk, every lot being sold at the hammer at prices which showed a marked improvement on late rates. At Stoney river on Thursday there was a fair number of cattle yarded, but bidding was dull, and two or three pens of young Btock -went home. Calves made 9s ; 12 to 18-months, mixed, 15s ; springing heifers, £2 6s to JB2 12s ; empty cows, 25s to 31s. Produce. — There is more enquiry for salt butter.
