HAWERA MARKETS.

The grass seed harvest is believed to be heavy in this district, but none to speak of has come into the market yet. In another week or two probably parcels will reach market. What prices are to be given it is difficult yet to say. It is understood settlers are asking nothing below 3 id for cocksfoot, while buyers in most cases will not advance beyond 3d. So far there does not appear to be any demand for oats. We hear of one parcel of about 400 bags changing hands at Is 6d.
