WELLINGTON, January 24.
The Station Committee of the Wesleyan Conference sat this morning. Fraternal greetings were received and reciprocated from the Primitive Methodists and the United Methodist Free Church. The second reading of the station sheet occupied the conference in the afternoon. Several amendments were proposed, and the sheet recommitted to the committee, the second reading to be taken on Wednesday morning. The Eevs. A. C. Lawry, D.T. Eothville, and T. J. Wallace passed unanimously the third year of their probation, and the Beys J. A. Jongham and J. Bright the first year. The Bey. T. W. Newbold was premitted to retire for the present, on account of ill-health, His examination was highly satisfactory, and much regret was expressed at his temporary retirement. In the evening session, the Bey. Samuel Griffith was ordained to the office and work of a Christian Minister. The Eev. Mr. Oliver, an ex-President of conference, delivered the charge.
