All Nominations, Weights, Acceptances, and Entries will close at the Hon.. Secretary's Office at 9 p.m , unless otherwise specified in programme. No entry will be received for any race except upon this condition — that nil disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. All entries to be sealed and addressed to tho Hon. Secretary, Hawer.i, entrance money enclosed, with name, age at time of entry, pedigree, and, in the case of handicaps, performances of the horse, name of the owner, and colors of the rider. Any jockey riding except in the colors entered will be fined 2 soys. When two or more horses start, the property of the same owner, a distinguishing color must be worn. All persons-intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect, to the Hon. Secretary or Clerk of the Scales one half-hour before starting. Any person neglecting or refusijg to comply with^such rule'shall pay a fine of 5 soys. to the' race fund. All races to be run under the Taranaki Jockey Club rules. Horses walking over will only receive half the stakes. No nomination or acceptance will be received on any pretence whatever, unlesn actually accompanied by the necessary amount payable ; the attbntion op Owners is particularly called to this Begulation.
