INTENSE SPECULATION. (per press association.) [Received January 13, 2.40 p.m.] SYDNEY, January 13. Fervid speculation in silver still continues, and is expected to last some time, more especially with respect to the Broken Hill Central mine's shares, where, it is understood, the rich lode originally found in tbe Broken Hill mine has been struck. -3100,000 worth of business was done here yesterday, and at Melbourne the] business done is said to average _2350,000 per day, one broker alone having earned .21300 by commission in one day.
