Mr. Thomas Bayly's household furniture is advertised for sale in the New Plymouth papers, having been seized for non-pay-ment of the harbor rate. Mr. Bayly as a protest against the rate, has permitted bis furniture to be levied upon under distress warrant. The annual sale of the Sylvia Park yearlings is announced for 4th January, when Messrs Hunter and Nolan, in conjunction with Mr. Alfred Buckland, will offer a lot of fashionably bred ones. This will be the last opportunity of purchasing young Musket stock. Stewart and Co., sawmillers, of Wellington, brought a claim againßt the Corporation for .£94,000 for deprivation of water frontage in connection with reclamation works carried on by the Corporation. The directory has been extended so as to embrace the whole of the coast from the Mokau down to and inclusive of Wanganui.
