PARLIAMENTARY NOTES.
TARIFF EEVISION POSTPONED. (BY TELEGRAPH.) (FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) WELLINGTON, November 29. In the House yesterday it was resolved to take both private membors 1 days for Government business for tho rest of tbe session, but tbe Premier gave a conditional undertaking to give an opportunity for advancing several private members' bills of importauco. Major Atkinson then moved a motion for the postponement of the consid ration of the tariff till next session. Sir J. Vogel in ado a rather bitter speech in announcing that the Opposition would not debate «v« motion, and then the Opposition left tbe House, just a few members remaining behind to secure a division. Major Atkinson replied, and then the motion was put and carried by 44 to 4, not including pairs. Tho bill to reduce tbe Governor's salary/ and a bill to reduce Ministers' salaries were read a Recoml time. The New Plymouth Harbor Committee was sot up yesterday, and will commence work at onco.
