Auckland, November 3. Horses. — The improvement ehown last week has continued, and there is an evident opening for a few good horses. The Durham yards on Friday were well supplied, and many more horses of a good stomp would have found purchasers at satisfactory prices to the vendor. We quote hacks at from £5 5s to £15 ; light harness, £7 10s to £13; medium draughts, £8 to £15 10s.

Wool, Hides, Skins, and Tallow. — At the Durham yards on Tuesday, a good supply of hides was pitched. The majority were of fair description and in good order, and met with keen competition. We quote ox hides at from 3}d to 4|d ; cow hides, 2}d to 3 id; calf skins, 3Jd to 4|d per lb; sheep skins, 2s to 5s 8d each; pelts, 6d to 9d; wool, sacks and pieces in bags, sfd; tallow, 13s to 15s. Fat Cattle.— The supply at the Newmarket yards on Tnesday was below the average, and there was no noteworthy alteration in values. Prime beef had a slightly upward tendency. Fat Sheep.— There was a good muster of fat shorn sheep at the Newmarket yards on Tuesday, and prices were firm at last week's quotations, bidding being spirited throughout. We quote fat wethers in wool at from 15s to 16s 6d ; shorn, 9s 6d to 11s 9d ; fat lambs, 7s to 14s. Pigs. — A good many were yarded, and those of a good description sold well.
