MELBOURNE, November 2.
A Farmers' Conference to-day adopted resolutions urging the imposition of 25 per cent, ad valorem duties upon live stock and dead meat, and placing protective duties on agricultural produce generally from beyond the colony. A deputation from the conference will interview the Premier to-morrow in order to bring the views of the conference before the Cabioet.
