Mr. Jos. Chamberlain has left England on a visit to the north of Ireland. It is understood that Mr. Chamberlain has undertaken the journey with a view to promoting Unionism in the province of Ulster. CALCUTTA, October 11. His Excellency tbe Viceroy has forwarded a letter to the Nizam of Hyderabad, expressing the warmest thanks of the Imperial Government for his magnanimous and opportune offer of assistance. His Excellency adds that Her Majesty the Queen is extremely gratifiod at the offer, and welcomes the pronvred aid as a fresh proof of the friendship of the Nizam for the British Empire. ADELAIDE, October 11. A fiprious difficulty has arisen between the Searaens Union nnd tbe Adelaide Shipping Company. It is very probable that the outcome of the affair will be a complete Btrike of the seamen, wharf, hands, stokers, and others engaging in the shipping trade.
