Wanganui Education Board.
♦ Monday, October 3rd. Present — Messrs. Carson (chair), Boss, Sanaon, Baker, Bridge, Notman, Stevens, and Bate. APPOINTMENTS. In committee, the following business was transacted and appointments made of interest to our readers :—: — Ngaire. — Mr. Cboke. Okaiawa. — Extra teaching power wag required, and the board' resolved to appoint a cadet pending further increase. Hawera. — The names of Miss Farr, Miss Lowe, and D. Syme to be forwarded to the committee as candidates for a pupil teachership. Manaia. — The name of Maria Wallas as cadet to he forwarded to the committee. Tuesday 1 . All the members, except Mr. Fry, were present. The husinesß was mainly of a detail character. A claim from Eltbam for £1 10s was referred to the Executive Committee. It was resolved to give, the Manaia-Skeet Boad district the name of Eapuni, and Messrs. Bridge and .Bate were authorised to define the boundaries.— Wanganui Herald.
